{"id":11298,"date":"2023-04-14T23:46:23","date_gmt":"2023-04-14T23:46:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lynettelockhart.com\/client\/spacex-gets-us-regulatory\/"},"modified":"2023-04-14T23:49:13","modified_gmt":"2023-04-14T23:49:13","slug":"spacex-gets-us-regulatory","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/lynettelockhart.com\/client\/spacex-gets-us-regulatory\/","title":{"rendered":"SpaceX gets US regulatory green light for debut Starship flight to space"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Joey Roulette<\/p>\n<p>WASHINGTON (Reuters) -The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration on Friday granted a long-awaited license allowing Elon Musk&#8217;s SpaceX to launch its Starship rocket to orbit for the first time, clearing the way for a test flight crucial to the company&#8217;s goals in space.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;After a comprehensive license evaluation process, the FAA determined SpaceX met all safety, environmental, policy, payload, airspace integration and financial responsibility requirements,&#8221; the FAA said in a statement on Friday, adding that the license is valid for five years.<\/p>\n<p>The launch, from SpaceX&#8217;s Starbase rocket facilities in Boca Chica, Texas, is slated for Monday April 17, the company affirmed on Twitter.
